For centuries, the Chesapeake Bay has been the center of commerce and culture for those in this watershed region. Our favorite part of the Chesapeake is the bounty of beautiful tasty crustaceans known as the blue crab. The cuisine of the Chesapeake is wonderfully unique and heralded by many around the world. Hell, my mouth is watering typing this blurb. In the end, we found it only fitting to incorporate the majestic blue crab on the back of the driftwood-inspired cover. We hope you enjoy not only the notebooks but the ridiculously awesome crab cake recipe below!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
(some prefer to halve mustard amount)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1 pound fresh lump crabmeat, drained
1 cup crushed saltines (about 20 crackers)
PREPARATION
Stir together first 5 ingredients; fold in crabmeat and saltines. Let stand 3 minutes. Shape mixture into 8 patties. Place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet; cover and chill 1 hour. Sauté crab cakes in 3 tablespoons butter or oil in a large nonstick skillet 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden. Or broil: Slip them under a preheated broiler until nicely browned, turning to cook evenly about 4-5 minute.

Love the dot grid/lined hybrid pages in this notebook! Gives me even more flexibility when I'm using it. The texture and color of the cover is great as well. Quality product!

Outstanding customer service. Outstanding design, workmanship and aesthetic vision. A company doing its utmost to transform the simple into the stunning. My only regret is not having supported them at the onset because of having bought too many of the wrong notebooks from brands who sold out. Never again. Thank you, Write Notepads & Co. For giving me something beautiful to look at and doodle in!

Great quality and whimsical art. Gave it as a gift, and the recipient was more than pleased.

Always pleased with Write products. The Chesapeake is a gorgeous blue. The only suggestion would be to get a little more creative with the paper. This one would have been wonderful with a very lightly tinted blue paper inside to extend the theme a bit more. Keep 'em comin'!

I love the color and feel and texture of the Chesapeake note pad. It’s about double the thickness of other books similar sized.

Dissatisfied with the lack of lines on both sides. It's a waste of writing surface.

This is one of Write's most underrated editions IMO. I love the page format! It obviously came along on my trip to the Chesapeake.

I always love Write’s pocket notebooks, and these are no exception. I’m sitting at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, writing a speech for my brother’s wedding in a lovely blue Chesapeake notebook that I will be able to pull from my jacket pocket tomorrow night; much classier than other members of the bridal party who will inevitably read off their phones. The paper feels great with my fountain pen, and the choice between lines on one side and dotted on the other side of the page gives me options when mapping out how I want to deliver my toast. Really, what’s not to love about these notebooks?

My daughter famously pulled out one of her teeth prematurely so that the tooth fairy would buy her a set of these.
