Nifty and simple design! Great for graphic designers like me, to sketch out tricky ideas!

I got this as a gift for someone who uses a spiritual journal regularly. They reported back that they really like how this notebook is lightweight and durable for traveling, but a nice hard back and high-quality paper for writing. The details matter--and this notebook is perfect! I'm glad the recipient has enjoyed it so much. I'll keep it in mind for future gifts.

Great quality paper and beautiful notebook!!

I write with a fountain pen. There are more than 150 journals in my possession and this is my favorite notebook to write in. It is one of the best. There is no bleed or feathering. You can write on both sides without the issue of ghosting or bleed through. I have purchased just about all if the notebooks and memo pads. Would love more books with pages that have perforated edges to tear out. Other than that wish, this is my go to. Excellent!!!

High quality notebook like we've come to expect from Write. The size is perfect for a variety of uses - neither too large nor too small like many spiral-bound notebooks. Ideally, I wish the pages had a margin on them, but it's small complaint to have about such an excellent product.

Love the quality of this notebook and the perfect size for meeting notes. This is my second one and ready to order a third!

This is a great notebook. I like the size. It’s similar to a composition book with a spiral. I’m in love with Write Notepad’s nice paper. Never bleeds through, smooth, and subtle green lines that don’t look like a barcode on the page. The Kraft notebook basically has two backing boards, one on the back, and the second as the cover. It’s always easy to write with it no matter where I am, as it has great support. I will definitely buy again.

Great notebook! I hand write all my first drafts of novels and screenplays, and use both fountain pens and Blackwing pencils. The paper performs flawlessly for both mediums! A5 is a little too small for heavy duty writing, but A4 is a bit too big and unwieldy for my taste. The 7x10 (more or less a B5) is perfect! I also wear front pocket shirts, and keep the pocket ledger from Write Notepads in there too. Steven King may not have to jot down ideas in a notebook, but I don’t have that luxury.

I’ve been looking for a high quality, spiral bound, no-margin notebook for years. I’m so glad I found Write. The paper is amazing for fountain pens and standard writing alike. It’s well built and will surely last for years. I’ll definitely be buying more. Thank you!

These notebooks have been my constant companion for 5 years -- never without one -- and my life is organized through them and all of my brilliant ideas are recorded in them!
The huge rubber band is great -- thought it would get in the way -- but I use it to hold a pen or pencil while in my briefcase!
Keep them coming!

Very nice, sturdy notebook. Thick paper, and I would have liked to have an option of more pages. Maybe that will be an option in the future. Thanks for a great product

I LOVE these notebooks. The covers are sturdy and don't require a hard surface to support writing. I use them for a variety of purposes, but separate notebooks for each purpose. The notebook in the photo is the one place information about a pending move must end up. As long as there is a notebook then no stray bit of data or contact info will be lost.
And the paper is sublime. I write with fountain pens and rollerballs and this paper never bleeds. I am tempted to hoard them because they are such perfect notebooks.

I purchased this notebook on the recommendation of The Gentleman Stationer. When the product appeared in the article, "The Best Paper for Everyday Writing," I decided to give them a try. While I can't recommend the notebook without caveats (see below), there is definitely a lot to like here. Will it replace Tomoe River as my paper of choice for fountain pens? Read on to find out.
Basic Info:
Price: $20 / notebook, bulk discounts available
Paper Type:70 GSM "bleed and feather resistant" paper
Format: Lined (also available in dot grid and "meeting" format)
Pages: 120
Pros:
- Wire binding means that the notebook is truly "lay flat." This also means that the notebook can easily be folded over and act as its own writing surface
- Paper lives up to its promise of being bleed and feather resistant; I tested it across a wide variety of inks (though the widest nib grade I regularly use is M, so take that for what you will)
- Cover is subtly designed and aesthetically pleasing
- Notebook offers a larger size than the typical A5, meaning it may be a good fit for those looking for something about as portable as an A5 with a few more inches to write on
- Notebook comes in a variety of formats and colors. I bought one in "black" and "kraft." I seriously considered buying one in "pistacio" as well, but ultimately decided against it (because I have so many notebooks, lol)
Cons:
- The wire binding can be uncomfortable under the hand, especially after a long writing session
- Paper doesn't bring out the "magic" of inks like Tomoe River, and is a bit, "toothier," as well.
- The covers (especially the back cover) frayed over time, despite the notebook rarely leaving the house (what with the global pandemic). There were no catastrophic failures, but it makes me wonder how well the notebook would hold up under more strenuous testing
- The unusual size means it'll require a custom cover (if that's your jam)
- A few of the metal rings bent a bit. Again, there were no catastrophic failures and the notebook is still functioning as intended (save the last couple of pages, which are harder to turn), but it raises concerns of durability
Conclusion:
There's a lot to like about this notebook. While the paper hasn't dethroned Tomoe River as my "go-to" choice for fountain pens, it's plays well enough with my pens and inks that I haven't minded using it as a daily driver. There are some things I would change (I wish they offered an A5 version) and some things that require trade-offs compared to other notebooks (e.g. the binding style), but it's done its job admirably. If you're not a fan of Tomoe River or if you want to try something different, this product is worth a look.

The paper quality is top notch! I add a piece of washi tape along the spiral if I'm feeling particular about the fact there is no margin.

Great product. Horrible packaging. The notebook was so damaged the pages will not turn. Not happy.

The best ringband notebooks out there!

The lined notebook is perfect for writing down your notes, ideas, or lists in. Its retro minimal aesthetic looks nice and doesn't distract from whatever you're working on. Smooth paper for clean writing, even in a hurry, and a sturdy back cover make it easy to write wherever you are.

The notebook is simple to look at but very well made: high quality paper, good for fountain pens, no feathering and no bleed-through. My handwriting is small, so I appreciate that the lines are not too widely spaced. A valuable option for writing of all kinds!

Same great quality paper that all of their products I have used has. It is my new favorite paper company very few even come close to the quality I have experienced with this great company.

Overall, this new design is not as sturdy as the old design. I probably will not be buying this particular product again... ...unless you go back to the drawing board. I prefer the stiffer outside covers on the old design. Thanks

This is my favorite notebook ever. It's spiral and opens flat or folds back on itself. The paper is opaque but not too thick, and my pen doesn't bleed through. (I use a Bic Atlantis.) Plus, the notebook is made in the USA, yay! Oh, and I like the nice touch with the rounded corners. Oh, and the soft, kraft-paper cover. Best notebook ever.
