This A5 notebook is the perfect size for the business executive and college students who need an attractive notebook with fantastic paper. This notebook is big enough for everyday use but small enough to carry around. You will find this professional notebook is ideal for notes, tasks, follow-ups, and more.
Similar to all our great notebooks, each notebook comes with our premium, extra-opaque paper (93 gsm) that is smooth to the touch. Yet, this paper is thick enough to dry inks fast and prevent smudging. The heavy opaque paper allows you to write with any style pen, without your words feathering or ghosting through to the back of the page.
The covers have a smooth, luxurious feel. The linen is wrapped around solid cardboard, backed with linen book cloth fabric. This premium assembly makes the Classic Hardcover Notebook feel really nice and tactile, but tough enough to go in and out of backpacks and bags. Each notebook will lay flat so that you can focus on your work. Then close easily without needing a closure. The notebooks come in three different colors: Slate, Cranberry, and Royal Blue. Each notebook comes with a blue ribbon bookmark. Currently comes in lined format, dotted coming in the future.

This notebook has ruined me for other notebooks. It's amazingly well built, visually stunning, and filled with high quality paper. I like the lined ruling, but dot grid may be a nice future upgrade. My only regret with this notebook is that I only purchased one!

It's good, but needs some slight tweaking.
What I like...the paper is unbelievable. It is one of the best I have ever written on (I use a BaronFig Squire pen and Blackwing pencils).
What I don't like...the line spacing on the paper is too narrow and feels cramped. The corners of the notebook are too sharp/drastic and need to be rounded for easy insertion/withdrawl into a bookbag or other bag. The A5 sizing is old and outdated. It need to be slightly wider of a notebook in my opinion.
My honest feelings are that if you and BaronFig could work together on a notebook, it'd be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Literally.
They have better line spacing. You have better paper and paper color. But they have a more natural feeling notebook with the rounded edges and squared size.
These are just my opinions. Not a bad notebook, but just not incredible.

I really enjoy the quality of the journal from Write!
The paper is wonderfully smooth, takes the ink from my favorite fine-point pens beautifully, and the lines are just the right width and nearly invisible, giving me the guide I need, but not overpowering the writing on the page. The cover is a linen-like texture, and the book lays flat very nicely.
I have found my new supplier of all my notebooks and journals!

Ordered back in May and waited until today (August 1) to finally unwrap the notebook - did a live unboxing/unwrapping on Pensplaining IG & FB, complete with paper huffing because I love me some fresh paper. OH WOW. WNP has done it again. This paper loves damn near every writing tool, with a couple exceptions for more juicy fountain pen nibs (for the FP nerds out there, think obliques, stubs and architect grinds). I am looking forward to the dot grid version and perhaps more colors, too. In the meantime I'm gonna go sniff this paper some more.

I’m traditionally a Moleskin user but thought I’d give something new a try. I appreciate the weight of the paper and the way ink doesn’t bleed through but beyond that I’m mostly underwhelmed. No elastic loop closure, no availability of a grid or dot option, and the fabric cover just doesn’t do it for me. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the product, it just doesn’t wow me.

First off I want to mention the exemplary customer service. I ordered two notebooks and had them monogrammed. For some inexplicable reason- I will chalk it up to “fat fingers- in my haste to order I got my own initials wrong. Amazing! So I wrote to Writepads to confirm my order and yes the mistake most assuredly was mine. But they told me to send the notebooks back and they would replace them at no charge! Imagine that. Well I soon received the “correctly” monogrammed notebooks and like the other reviewers am extremely pleased with the product. They quality is exceptional and these notebooks are the sharpest looking tools that I have ever used. If I could change anything it would be to add a pocket in the back. But who am I to quibble? Needless to say I am happy and will be a repeat customer.

Everything about this notebook is excellent. The binding and cover feels like a finely bound book. I often use this my notebooks in formal settings and the design and quality of this notebook not only fits in but outclasses most other notebooks at my meetings. I have already gotten compliments from colleagues about how nice this is.
It is very sturdy and a bit stiff at first. With just a bit of use the sewn binding becomes more flexible and it opens beautifully and lays flat.
The paper is where this notebook really excels. This paper is very high quality. It is thick enough to not be flimsy (similar thickness to all their other products) but the texture of the paper is perfect for fountain pens. The texture is different from the other WN&C notebooks and pads that I have. This paper is by far the best that they have produced. This paper is comparable to Clairefontaine Triomphe for how well it writes when I use my (stub and italic nib) fountain pens. There is no bleed through with even the wettest nib/ink combos that I have. This also means that it will work well with any other type of pen or pencil. The folks at Write Notepads & Co. got it just right!
